The TANG Tables are a series of side tables and coffee tables, for indoor and outdoor appreciation.

The poetic nature of ponds (池塘 chi tang), and a majestic urbanscape merge  and co-exist on our small island of Singapore. The slow tranquility that inspired Tang master poets centuries before to weave words, is a delicate contrast to the fast moving grandeur of our concrete jungle. Yet, their elements of beauty have inspired us today to weave our own poetry in the form of furniture.

Circles and lines, drawn from the flora of ponds, are expressed using elegant proportions and rhythms in a three dimensional steel base, hand-finished with a oxidised patina.

Laser cut steel sheets are bent to shape, with multi levels for you to place different items. Each sheet is a hand finished oxidised patina, much like the colors of duckweed in a rustic pond.

Brass plated rods add an elegant finish and support and also serve to organize magazines and books.

Clear tempered glass allows one to peer beneath the surface, like gazing into a pond. These tables serve to hold your snacks and drinks, books or something that pleases you - perhaps something like little dishes like Tea Pets?

Place them next to a sofa or bed, or scatter around a room as poetic story pieces to share with your guests.
